I'm Helen, a wig maker, make up artist, special effects creator and hair stylist or in one simple German word: Maskenbildnerin.
I usually work at a theater, but every now and then I also participate in films, commercials or photo shoots.
The first meeting with the costume designer for the upcoming production.
Brainstorming with colleagues about how to put a plan into action.
Fitting the wig and trying the make up for the first time.
The excited tension a few minutes before the show starts.
The concentration during quick changes and little jokes behind the curtains.
The relief and joy after a successful show.
The perfection everyone is achieving in their job.

All these common but magical moments are the reason why theater still hasn't lost it's appeal to me.
Turning imagination into reality
About me
Born in 1996 in Hamburg, I graduated from high school in 2015 and started a long-term internship at the Kammerspiele Hamburg. In 2017, I had the opportunity to do an apprenticeship at DNT Weimar, which I successfully completed in 2020. The sudden Covid-19 pandemic complicated the final exam as we had to perform the practical tasks on plaster busts. Due to my very good final grade, I received a scholarship, which I mainly used to learn a third language - Spanish.
From 2020 to 2023, I worked at the Stuttgart State Theaters, primarily at the theater and sometimes in opera and ballet.
Since September 2023, I'm traveling in Latin America, fulfilling a dream that I had since I was a kid.
